Key Responsibilities:- Oversee the parts sales process from start to finish, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Communicate effectively with staff and customers, providing friendly and professional service.
- Converse with customers regarding parts status, using the parts catalog to find and verify specific parts.
- Answer phone calls, provide price quotes, and respond to customer inquiries.
- Review body shop estimates to verify parts ordered and pricing.
- Provide high-level service to both internal and external customers, ensuring their needs are met.
- Pull and fill orders from stock, maintaining weekly bin checks to ensure accuracy.
- Notify the parts manager of out-of-stock parts or shop materials that require immediate attention.
- Locate out-of-stock parts from outside sources and submit emergency orders as needed.
- Ensure all internal requests for parts are billed on service repair orders.
- Receive payment from retail customers or obtain credit authorization.
- High School Diploma or equivalent and prior auto parts sales experience (preferred).
- Eager to improve in a dynamic work environment.
- Strong interpersonal and time management skills.
- Ability to read and interpret safety and maintenance documents.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts, including discounts, interest, commissions, and proportions.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
