Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the parts sales process from start to finish, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Communicate effectively with staff and customers, providing friendly and professional service.
  • Converse with customers regarding parts status, using the parts catalog to find and verify specific parts.
  • Answer phone calls, provide price quotes, and respond to customer inquiries.
  • Review body shop estimates to verify parts ordered and pricing.
  • Provide high-level service to both internal and external customers, ensuring their needs are met.
  • Pull and fill orders from stock, maintaining weekly bin checks to ensure accuracy.
  • Notify the parts manager of out-of-stock parts or shop materials that require immediate attention.
  • Locate out-of-stock parts from outside sources and submit emergency orders as needed.
  • Ensure all internal requests for parts are billed on service repair orders.
  • Receive payment from retail customers or obtain credit authorization.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent and prior auto parts sales experience (preferred).
  • Eager to improve in a dynamic work environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and time management skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret safety and maintenance documents.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts, including discounts, interest, commissions, and proportions.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
