- Administrative Tasks: Maintain classroom records, prepare reports, score tests, process books, manage supplies, and perform other administrative tasks as needed.
- Monitoring and Supervision: Monitor student activities in classrooms, school grounds, hallways, lunchrooms, field trips, and bus loading areas, ensuring student safety and well-being.
- Parent-Teacher Conferences: Participate in parent-teacher conferences and home visits, providing support to teachers and families.
- Compliance and Ethics: Comply with state-approved Code of Ethics of the Education Profession and uphold and enforce rules, administrative directives, and regulations.
- Mission and Values: Articulate and facilitate the implementation of the mission and values of Albuquerque Public Schools.
- Confidentiality: Safeguard confidentiality of privileged information.
- Record-Keeping: Prepare and maintain accurate and complete records and reports as required by law, state directives, district policy, and administrative regulations.
- Inventory and Facilities: Share responsibility for the supervision and care of district inventory, proper and safe use of facilities, equipment, and supplies, and report safety hazards promptly.
- Professional Relationships: Maintain professional relationships and work cooperatively with employees, the community, and other professionals.
- Professional Development: Maintain professional competence through individual and staff training, in-service educational activities, and self-selected professional growth activities.
- Meetings and Committees: Attend and/or conduct staff meetings and participate on committees within area of responsibility.
- Communication Skills: Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Flexibility and Organization: Flexibility, organization, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Interpersonal Skills: Interpersonal skills with diverse populations in-person and on the telephone.
- Knowledge of APS Community: Knowledge of APS community, computer system, financial, and legal requirements.
- Project Management: Ability to meet deadlines, work on multiple projects, and coordinate the work of others.
- Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years old.
- Experience with Educational Equipment: Experience with educational equipment preferred.
