Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled IT Engineer - Change & Release Manager to join our Cybersecurity & Digital Operations Division. This role is pivotal in fostering a digital-savvy work environment that enhances employee engagement and productivity. The IT Engineer - Change & Release Manager will oversee the change, configuration, and release management protocols within a hybrid infrastructure, integrating both on-premises and various cloud resources.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement standardized practices for efficient management of changes to IT infrastructure, aiming to reduce incidents and their impact on services.
  • Design and execute processes to identify configurations, monitor changes, and manage version control.
  • Develop a strategic plan for enhancing the current Change Management Database (CMDB).
  • Lead initiatives to establish a comprehensive platform for change, configuration, and release management.
  • Coordinate the release of all internal, SaaS, and Cloud modifications, ensuring effective communication with impacted stakeholders.
  • Evaluate requests for change (RFCs) to maintain rigor and consistency across the organization.
  • Identify opportunities for improving Change Management processes.
  • Generate and analyze metrics to assess adherence to change, configuration, and release management protocols.
  • Contribute to the development of integrations and orchestration frameworks.
  • Provide expertise in DevOps, build and release processes, and CI/CD methodologies to agile teams.
  • Facilitate Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings, prepare agendas, and distribute minutes to relevant parties.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of relevant experience -OR-
  • Master's degree with 3+ years of relevant experience -OR-
  • Doctorate with 1+ year of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of IT systems experience in analysis, infrastructure, engineering, or programming.
  • 3 years of experience managing Change Management processes in a hybrid IT environment.
  • Experience in supporting change, configuration, and release management during transitions to cloud platforms.
  • In-depth knowledge of major public cloud providers (Azure/AWS/GCP) and government environments.
  • Certifications in Agile methodologies and/or cloud practitioner-level certifications for Azure and AWS.
  • Hands-on knowledge of DevOps practices, application release management, and CI/CD automation.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
