Peraton is seeking a Developmental Test & Evaluation (DT&E) Systems Engineer to support our Cyber Mission business unit. In this role, you will contribute to one of the most significant enterprise-wide engineering contracts within the Intelligence Community. This position requires a commitment of 1880 hours annually, with work conducted at a designated customer site.
As a DT&E Systems Engineer, your contributions will encompass test planning, execution, and ensuring that enterprise expectations for DT&E testing are met. The team is dedicated to verifying the outcomes of designated programs by observing system functionality, assessing performance metrics, and ensuring that system functions align with Required Performance Measures (RPM) or Key Performance Parameters (KPP). The team promotes the use of integrated testing methodologies to optimize results.
Primary Duties Include:
- Identifying gaps, risks, and issues related to test requirements and criteria.
- Utilizing established Systems Engineering policies to pinpoint interoperability and testing challenges.
- Conducting Technical Reviews on enterprise Systems Engineering documents and providing feedback to the Chief Systems Engineer.
- Preparing technical reports that articulate the rationale behind recommendations.
- Collaborating with Operational Test & Assessment teams to stay informed on program status and schedules.
- Curating and disseminating DT&E best practices and heuristics.
- Partnering with customer organizations to formulate testing policies and guidelines.
- Advising programs and test teams on current standards and practices for system integration, testing, evaluation, and transition.
- Evaluating enterprise capabilities, architectures, and design concepts for integration and testing impacts.
- Guiding test teams in the development of evaluation strategies.
- Reviewing requirements to ensure testability.
- Participating in reviews of developing systems to ensure requirements traceability.
- Monitoring the preparation and execution of comprehensive test and evaluation plans.
- Ensuring that integration, testing, evaluation, and transition activities are coordinated with relevant organizations.
- Assessing program readiness for integration, testing, and evaluation activities.
- Recommending necessary adjustments to testing configurations and procedures.
Required Experience:
- A Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, engineering, or a related field, accompanied by a minimum of 20 years of systems engineering experience. Relevant engineering disciplines include Aeronautics, Biomedical, Chemical, Civil, Computer, Electrical, Environmental, Mechanical, Nuclear, Software, Systems, and Engineering Management. A Master's degree or PhD may substitute for two years of experience, while a high school diploma or GED with 24 years of systems engineering experience is also acceptable.
- Proven experience in test planning and execution for complex software engineering projects.
- Must possess TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
- Experience in establishing and automating testing for software engineering initiatives.
- Familiarity with automated testing tools and continuous testing methodologies.
- Adept at collaborating with organizations and test teams to enhance test planning and execution.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with all levels of management.
- Technical acumen and interpersonal skills necessary for collaboration with customers and technical leadership.

Compensation Range
$86,000 - $138,000, reflecting the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
