Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Breast Care Coordinator to provide essential technical and administrative assistance within our breast care program. This role encompasses patient communication and support for our radiology team.

Key Responsibilities:

Administrative and Technical Support (70%):

  • Manage incoming breast care inquiries, schedule patient appointments, and direct calls as necessary.
  • Oversee daily breast care schedules to optimize workflow efficiency.
  • Prepare and send patient correspondence, including printing, proofing, and mailing.
  • Handle the processing of imaging films and CDs within the department.
  • Maintain the EMR dashboard to track patient workflow, pending cases, and follow-ups.
  • Input orders in EMR for patients requiring diagnostic follow-up.
  • Coordinate prior imaging documentation for scheduled patients.
  • Collaborate with the clinical team on risk assessment evaluations.
  • Record biopsy results in the EMR system.
  • Assist technologists in managing MQSA credentials.
  • Follow up with radiologists regarding pending examinations.

Patient Support (25%):

  • Communicate screening mammography results to patients.
  • Respond to patient inquiries and provide follow-up as needed.
  • Schedule and follow up with patients undergoing biopsy procedures.
  • Act as a liaison between patients and the clinical team regarding exam wait times.

Additional Responsibilities (5%):

  • Perform other related tasks as assigned.
