Position Overview:
The successful candidate will possess a strong enthusiasm for developing high-quality software and demonstrate exceptional problem-solving abilities.

While proficiency in the Microsoft .Net framework is essential, an eagerness to explore various technologies, along with an agile mindset, is highly valued. You will be an experienced professional with over 6-7 years in the field of software design, development, testing, deployment, maintenance, and enhancement.

Your expertise will encompass a thorough understanding of software development principles, and you will thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced setting that offers significant growth potential.

Your responsibilities will include the analysis, definition, design, construction, testing, installation, modification, and maintenance of well-engineered information systems that align with business objectives, while continuously driving enhancements throughout the software development lifecycle and adhering to best practices.

You will collaborate with both internal and external teams, providing your expertise on our products, managing projects independently, and working alongside cross-functional teams to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and deliver results.

Additionally, you will have the opportunity to mentor and guide junior engineers by reviewing their work and fostering their technical development.

Participation in the On-Call rotation is expected, which will support maintenance, scheduled tasks, and deployment activities.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop new software, modify existing applications, or integrate software modules according to established specifications, collaborating with team members.
  • Deliver comprehensive technical solutions for multiple products or complex initiatives.
  • Create and execute unit and integration tests to ensure software compliance with requirements.
  • Engage in daily stand-up meetings and take on development tasks as needed.
  • Lead routine projects with manageable risks and resource needs, potentially overseeing budgets for smaller projects.
  • Contribute to design creation and may lead the design of simpler components.
  • Provide technical support to operations, QA engineers, non-technical staff, designers, and other development teams.
  • Maintain all necessary technical documentation related to assigned software to ensure supportability and reuse.
  • Share knowledge and mentor team members in a constructive manner, while also working independently when required.
  • Assist in identifying and implementing both short-term and long-term solutions, including risk assessments.
  • Participate in project planning sessions to analyze development requirements, offer design alternatives, and provide work breakdown and estimates.
  • Provide timely updates on individual responsibilities within projects to supervisors and actively participate in team meetings.
  • Demonstrate software capabilities as requested and adhere to disciplined software development processes and corporate policies.

Qualifications:

Your core competencies should include:

  • Software Engineering expertise.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft .Net MVC and .Net Core programming.
  • Strong skills in C# and excellent communication abilities.
  • Effective problem-solving skills with minimal guidance.
  • Experience in cloud development (Azure, AWS).
  • Proficient in JavaScript and related libraries, as well as HTML/CSS.
  • Database experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Experience in Web API development and API-driven approaches.
  • Familiarity with continuous integration environments.
  • Unit testing or test-driven development experience.
  • Proficient in using source control systems (TFS, Git, JIRA).
  • Willingness to undergo a CJIS-compliant fingerprint-based background check and obtain security clearance.

Preferred Skills:

Insights or domain experience in the legal field are advantageous.

Experience with Azure service stack and React JS or similar front-end technologies is a plus.


Education:

A University Degree in Software Engineering or a related field is required.
