Job Title: Phlebotomist at UW Health

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomist to join our team at UW Health. As a Phlebotomist, you will be responsible for collecting blood samples from patients of all ages and ensuring proper specimen labeling and processing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect blood samples from patients using aseptic techniques and following established protocols.
  • Verify patient identification and ensure accurate specimen labeling.
  • Process and transport specimens to the laboratory for analysis.
  • Enter patient information and laboratory test orders into the laboratory information system.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Completion of a phlebotomy training program and clinical rotation.
  • Minimum one year of experience in phlebotomy and/or healthcare.
  • Phlebotomist certification (American Society for Clinical Pathology) or equivalent.
