Responsibilities:- Administer sedation and monitor patients in a safe and efficient manner.
- Communicate effectively with referring veterinarians to ensure seamless patient care.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to strict safety protocols.
- Coordinate with other services to ensure smooth procedures and patient care.
- Obtain thorough patient histories to inform treatment plans.
- Participate in rotating on-call shifts as needed, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
- Perform catheter placement and other specialized technical tasks with precision and care.
- Provide nursing care to patients, prioritizing their comfort and well-being.
- Perform patient restraint and phlebotomy with expertise and compassion.
- Float to support other small animal services as needed, demonstrating a team-oriented approach.
- Assist with client communication and inquiries, providing exceptional customer service.
- Bring a positive and helpful attitude to the unit daily, contributing to a collaborative and supportive work environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned, demonstrating a commitment to excellence and adaptability.
- High School Diploma required; Associate's Degree preferred.
- CVT certification or eligibility to obtain Wisconsin licensure within 12 months.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. independently and perform specialized technical tasks with manual dexterity.
Monday-Friday, 9:00AM-5:30PM, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch. Time may vary based on candidate and unit needs. Flexibility to cover various shifts as needed, including some holidays and weekends.
Appointment Type, Duration:Ongoing/Renewable appointment, with a competitive salary and benefits package.
