Job Title: Materials Scientist and Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Materials Scientist and Engineer to join our team at Penn State University. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing electrical characterization on semiconductor devices as a function of radiation exposure.

Job Duties:
  • Perform electrical characterization on semiconductor devices to investigate radiation effects.
  • Collaborate with national labs to perform experiments that mimic ionizing radiation.
  • Perform modeling and/or experimental analysis to investigate the fundamentals of radiation effects in electronics.
  • Analyze data and disseminate findings in journals and conferences.
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Must be a US citizen.
  • Applicants should have a Ph.D. in Electrical/Computer/Mechanical/Materials/Nuclear Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Excellent foundation in semiconductor device physics and reliability.
  • Hands-on experience with device and system characterization.
  • Experience in radiation effects is highly desirable.
