Position Overview

Role Summary: As a Culinary Operations Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in supporting the overall effectiveness of the culinary program and managing kitchen operations. This position involves participation in all aspects of menu planning, procurement, inventory management, and food preparation, while ensuring compliance with client standards, health regulations, and company expectations regarding food quality, freshness, and presentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in coordinating and executing the preparation and cooking of diverse food items.
  • Contribute to menu planning and development.
  • Implement new culinary initiatives in collaboration with marketing and culinary teams.
  • Support cost management and expenditure control efforts.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant culinary experience, including at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
  • Experience in various food service environments such as restaurants, hotels, corporate dining, education, military, or healthcare.
  • Strong knowledge of food trends with an emphasis on quality, production, sanitation, safety, and food cost management.
  • Ability to create and distribute production schedules.
  • Demonstrated leadership, training, and coaching abilities.
  • ServSafe or Department of Health Certification is preferred.
  • Proficient in computer applications, including MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • An Associate's degree in Culinary Arts is preferred.
