We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Respiratory Therapist to join our Patient Care Unit at Texas Orthopedic Hospital. As a leading healthcare provider, we are dedicated to the growth and development of our colleagues.

Job Summary

Under the general supervision of the Respiratory Therapy Supervisor, the Respiratory Therapist provides cardiopulmonary services to patients in accordance with accepted respiratory therapy practices and established Departmental and Hospital standards of care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Director of Laboratory for technical supervision of the I-Stat machine
  • Utilize specialized knowledge of cardiopulmonary principles in the provision of critical care services
  • Perform diagnostic studies and general therapy using specialized knowledge of cardiopulmonary procedures
  • Perform general duties using specialized knowledge of respiratory principles
Requirements
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within 30 days of employment start date
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification within 30 days of employment start date
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification within 30 days of employment start date
  • Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner (RRT/RCP) issued by the Texas Medical Board
  • CRT license issued by the National Board for Respiratory Care
  • Graduate from an accredited respiratory program
  • A minimum of 1 year experience in an acute care facility
