Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct original research and development in the field of carbon materials, including carbon capture, conversion, storage, and utilization.
  • Design and execute experiments to investigate the properties and behavior of carbon materials.
  • Develop and implement new methods for the synthesis and characterization of carbon materials.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate research findings into product development and commercialization.
  • Present research findings and results to internal and external stakeholders, including academic and industry partners.
Requirements
  • Ph.D. in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 9 years of experience in a research and development role, with a strong background in carbon materials.
  • Proven track record of publishing research papers and developing intellectual property.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in using equipment for materials screening and conducting advanced testing in pilot plant environments.
Work Environment

The successful candidate will be based in one of our global research centers in Detroit-MI, Cambridge-MA, or Houston-TX. The research center is a well-equipped facility with state-of-the-art laboratory and pilot plant equipment. The successful candidate will be expected to work independently and as part of a team to achieve research objectives.
