Job Description:

The MD Anderson Cancer Center is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented trainee to join our research team. As a Research Scientist Trainee, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in clinical study design, data analysis, and biostatistical analysis.

Responsibilities:

* Assist in the development of study protocols and obtain regulatory approval from the Institutional Review Board (IRB)
* Receive education on how to use EPIC, REDCAP, and Excel for data collection and analysis
* Learn how to identify clinical information of interest in patient electronic charts and create data collection spreadsheets
* Participate in weekly meetings to review and analyze research databases

Learning Objectives:

* Develop principles of data analysis interpretation and presentation
* Learn how to create a poster and give a lecture on clinical research findings
* Understand how to use PowerPoint for clinical research presentation purposes

Eligibility Requirements:

* Bachelor's or master's degree required, obtained recently (within 1 year)

Position Information:

* Full-time or part-time position available, providing a stipend between $28,000 and $36,000
