Quality Improvement Registered Nurse

Experience & Requirements

  • A Bachelor of Science in Nursing is mandatory; a Master’s degree is advantageous.
  • Must hold a current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
  • Minimum of three years' experience in nursing is essential.
  • At least one year in a leadership position with comprehensive knowledge of Quality Improvement practices.
Background checks, security clearance, and drug screenings are prerequisites for this position.

Responsibilities

As a Quality Improvement Registered Nurse, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the delivery of healthcare within correctional facilities. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Overseeing the Quality Improvement Program at the facility.
  • Facilitating collaboration among mental health, nursing, security, administrative, and support staff.
  • Managing the functions of the Quality Improvement process.
  • Assisting the facility's QI Committee in identifying areas that require monitoring and evaluation.
  • Preparing and submitting regular and special statistical reports.
  • Contributing to the development of policies and procedures related to quality improvement.
  • Participating in quarterly meetings of the major facilities' QI Committee.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
