Job Title: Supported Employment Specialist

Community Counseling Solutions is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Supported Employment Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our vocational rehabilitation team, you will play a vital role in helping individuals with mental health conditions achieve their employment goals.

Job Summary:

The Supported Employment Specialist will provide culturally competent services to assist clients in obtaining and maintaining employment that is consistent with their vocational goals. This includes conducting job development and job search activities, providing individualized follow-along supports, and collaborating with mental health practitioners and other treatment team providers to coordinate and integrate vocational services into mental health treatment.

Responsibilities:
  • Engage clients and establish trusting, collaborative relationships to achieve competitive employment in community job settings.
  • Assist clients in obtaining information about their benefits and how they will be affected by employment.
  • Conduct job development and job search activities to identify employment opportunities that match client interests and skills.
  • Provide individualized follow-along supports to assist clients in maintaining employment.
  • Collaborate with mental health practitioners and other treatment team providers to coordinate and integrate vocational services into mental health treatment.
  • Develop and implement individual employment plans with clients, mental health workers, and other treatment team providers.
  • Provide education and support to employers and clients regarding job accommodations and follow-along contact.
  • Conduct outreach services to clients who appear to disengage from the service.
  • Attend weekly meetings with mental health treatment teams and communicate individually with team members to coordinate and integrate vocational services.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, or other human service-related field.
  • Three years of equivalent training and work experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Certification as a precommitment investigator (if required).
  • Ability to develop relationships with employers, investigate local business communities, and utilize good client interviewing skills.
  • Effective collaboration with mental health practitioners, VR counselors, family members, and other members of the vocational unit.
  • Utilization of a strengths-based approach, recovery-based orientation, and problem-solving approach.
  • Ability to work in community settings, provide supported education, and maintain confidentiality.
What We Offer:

Community Counseling Solutions offers a competitive salary range of $24.23 - $34.90 per hour, depending on experience. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
