The New IEM, Llc is seeking a highly skilled Field Service Technician to join our team. As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for installing and commissioning electrical equipment, performing basic testing, and troubleshooting electrical circuits and networking equipment.
Key Responsibilities:- Install and modify electrical or mechanical components and subassemblies, including panelboard interiors, circuit breakers, bus bar, switchgear section doors, and subpanels.
- Perform basic testing of modified assemblies and commissioning of switchboards, controls panels, and power products.
- Troubleshoot electrical circuits and networking equipment.
- Coordinate with Technical Project Manager or manufacturing facilities to resolve product or commissioning issues.
- Perform preventive maintenance, field installations, and modifications to existing equipment.
- Provide technical product support.
- A technical degree or equivalent and 1-2 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment or field service role with electrical equipment.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently.
- Ability to travel (minimal) and work evenings and weekends.
- Experience with switchgear and electrical controls systems is a plus.
- Military experience and ability to read and interpret electrical wiring diagrams are also a plus.
