Position Overview

ROLE SUMMARY: Engage in a range of community and home-based care activities aimed at assisting individuals with autism. Your role will focus on enhancing their dignity, safety, health, welfare, rights, development, and social inclusion. Additionally, you will provide necessary transportation services.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS: We are seeking a dependable support individual in the Chicopee area to aid a woman with intellectual disabilities in her daily living activities, skill enhancement, and community engagement. The ideal candidate should be available for up to 16 hours per week, primarily during weekday mornings (Monday to Friday).

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Must be at least 18 years old.
  2. Possess a valid driver's license in Massachusetts.
  3. Have reliable means of transportation.
  4. Hold a high school diploma or GED.
  5. Provide two supervisory references.
  6. Undergo a driving record check, CORI, and fingerprint verification.
  7. Experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities is required.
  8. Exhibit consistent attendance and strong communication skills.
