IT Support Specialist

Guidewire, Inc is a Non-Profit Human Service Agency that provides residential and day supports to adults with developmental disabilities through Hampden & Berkshire counties.
Job Summary:We are seeking a detail-oriented IT Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with the maintenance, security, and operations of the electronic/communications equipment of Guidewire, Inc.
Key Responsibilities:- Troubleshoot problems for staff on electronic equipment including internet, telephone, and facsimile systems.
- Maintain electronic equipment in all the residences where electronic equipment owned by Guidewire, Inc is installed.
- Research and recommend software and/or hardware changes/improvements.
- Train staff on software.
- Ensure compliance with the Agency policy on computers and software.
- Maintain inventory databases of computer equipment and locations and computer-related supplies.
- Assist with Agency Website.
- Assist with maintaining email addresses and communication with email host company.
- Communicate with all levels of management and staff on a diplomatic and courteous level.
- Assist with monitoring and maintaining Shortel Phone system across the Agency.
- Assist with policy development regarding data security & equipment use.

This position requires a minimum of two (2) years in a technical, hands-on environment, dealing with Microsoft software, electronics hardware.
