KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

This role involves welcoming, guiding, and assisting patients and visitors in a professional and courteous manner throughout their visit.

Responsibilities include scheduling and registering patients, ensuring the accurate collection of necessary information. The staff will also assess eligibility for services and provide guidance to patients regarding payment policies, as well as monitor and collect outstanding payments.

The Patient Access Specialist is tasked with maintaining a positive waiting room environment, keeping patients informed about wait times, and ensuring a clean and comfortable space.


ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
  • Proven ability to deliver exceptional customer service to a diverse patient population.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic bookkeeping capabilities, including cash handling, charge posting, and deposits.
  • Proficiency in navigating various software applications, including EHR and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Previous experience as a receptionist in a healthcare, dental, or social services environment.
  • Strong bookkeeping or accounting knowledge.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) are advantageous.
