Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at the University of Miami Health System. As a Radiologic Technologist, you will be responsible for operating radiologic and magnetic imaging equipment to produce high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate radiologic and magnetic imaging equipment to produce images of the body for diagnostic purposes.
  • Review and evaluate developed x-rays, video tape, and computer-generated information to determine whether images are satisfactory for diagnostic purposes.
  • Record thorough and accurate patient medical histories.
  • Explain procedures, observe patients to ensure safety and comfort during scan, monitor patients' conditions and reactions, and report abnormal signs to a physician.
  • Position and immobilize patients on examining table.
  • Arrange imaging equipment and adjust controls to set exposure time and distance.
  • Record, process, maintain patient data and treatment records, and prepare reports.
  • Organize examination rooms, ensuring that necessary equipment is ready for use.
  • Perform scheduled maintenance and minor emergency repairs on radiographic equipment.
Requirements
  • Associate degree in relevant field.
  • Certification in relevant specialty or field.
  • Minimum 1 year of relevant experience.
