We are seeking a highly skilled Radiologic Technologist II to join our team at the University of Miami Health System. As a key member of our Radiology department, you will be responsible for performing complex procedures in Radiology, operating radiographic equipment, and obtaining high-quality diagnostic images with minimal radiation exposure.
Key Responsibilities- Assist Radiologists and PhDs in developing new protocols and Radiologic imaging techniques
- Monitor charging of Radiologic procedures and supplies daily to ensure correctness
- Demonstrate Radiologic equipment for site visits and educate new physicians
- Obtain and examine orders for Radiologic scans to ensure accuracy and appropriateness
- Notify supervisors of discrepancies and contact physicians' offices for corrections
- Perform complex specialized tasks associated with Radiologic scanners and related equipment
- Integrate diagnostic, laboratory results, patient history, and medical records to adapt exams as necessary
- Adhere to Radiologic protocols to maintain high-quality standards and demonstrate complete competence in performing Radiologic scans
- Graduate of an Accredited Radiologic Technology/Diagnostic Imaging Program
- CPR and BLS certification
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
- Ability to maintain effective interpersonal relationships, collect and analyze data, and exercise sound judgment in making critical decisions
