Position Summary:

BREZ AT ATLANTIC CROSSING

Weekend Availability: On Call Once a Month

The Maintenance Technician will report directly to the Service Manager and will be tasked with executing make-ready repairs on all vacant units prior to tenant occupancy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out additional tasks as directed by the Property Manager or Service Manager.
  • Complete repairs on make-ready units promptly.
  • Respond to on-call notifications as scheduled by the Service Manager.
  • Support the Service Manager or Housekeeper in their duties when necessary.
  • Assist Grounds personnel with unit cleanouts as needed.
  • Help the Service Manager with inventory management and the use of maintenance supplies.
  • Inspect the property for potential improvements and repairs, discussing findings with the Service Manager.
  • Address work order requests as required.
  • Assist the Service Manager with maintenance inquiries.
  • Ensure the grounds are consistently litter-free.
  • Operate and maintain all equipment according to scheduled maintenance protocols.
  • Familiarize oneself with the locations of gas and water meter emergency shut-offs, as well as all apartment and fixture shut-offs.
  • Perform painting tasks for both interior and exterior as needed.
  • Maintain a professional appearance in uniform and exhibit a positive attitude at all times.
  • Demonstrate personal hygiene and cleanliness while on duty.
  • Recognize the value of a positive attitude and teamwork, collaborating effectively with colleagues.
  • Be willing to assist at other sites when required and be adaptable to transfer to different properties if necessary.
  • Support the Property Manager or other staff members upon request.
  • Complete work orders with an emphasis on same-day resolution.
  • Review work orders with the Service Manager daily.
  • Adhere to the policies outlined in the Employee Handbook.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the Maintenance shop at all times.
  • Be readily available during snow events.
  • Follow the Maintenance General Operating Policies.
Qualifications:
  • Availability for night and/or weekend work may be required.
  • Must be on-call as needed.
  • Reliable transportation is essential.
  • HVAC skills with CFC certification are required.
  • CPO certification is necessary.
  • Proficiency in plumbing, electrical, and carpentry skills is expected.
  • Knowledge of MSD and OSHA regulations is preferred.
