Position Summary

We are in search of a detail-oriented Quality Assurance Supervisor to oversee quality control activities at our production facility. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in quality assurance, outstanding leadership skills, and the ability to maintain our high standards of quality and compliance. This position entails conducting inspections, managing a team, and collaborating with various departments to improve product quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform hourly quality audits and initial inspections for production runs
  • Create quality reports based on data as directed by the Lead Quality Technician
  • Ensure adherence to all quality system policies and procedures
  • Document audit results and promptly relay any discrepancies to the appropriate team members
  • Interpret complex 2D drawings and blueprints
  • Verify calibration standards of measuring instruments and inform the Lead Quality Technician of any calibration needs
  • Provide basic quality training to production staff to ensure compliance with quality management system requirements
  • Collaborate on corrective and preventive actions for quality issues identified by customers in conjunction with senior management
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to quality processes
  • Conduct incoming inspections of materials and components as necessary
  • Comply with company policies as outlined in the employee handbook
  • Maintain consistent attendance at work
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Requirements

  • At least two years of experience in mechanical inspection or a related quality role within the plastics industry
  • High school diploma or GED is required
  • Proficient in MS Office applications, especially MS Word and MS Excel
  • Able to work independently and complete tasks efficiently
  • Understanding of quality terminology, definitions, and concepts
  • Familiarity with basic statistical terms and techniques
  • Experience with measurement tools and processes
  • Skilled in reading and interpreting blueprints
  • Knowledge of testing methods related to injection molding or NSF/ASTM standards
  • Strong mathematical and analytical abilities
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
