Job Summary

As an Assistant Store Manager at Staples, you will play a key role in driving sales, services, and customer engagement in our stores. You will lead a high-performing team focused on providing an exceptional store experience, consultative selling, and delivering total solutions to every customer.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement sales and services strategies to drive business growth and profitability
  • Lead and coach a team of sales associates to achieve sales and service goals
  • Ensure a positive and inclusive store culture that embodies Staples values and commitment to the community
  • Manage store operations, including merchandising, inventory, and customer service
  • Collaborate with the General Manager to achieve business objectives and drive store performance
Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience managing a sales team in a retail or services industry
  • Proven track record of driving sales growth and improving customer satisfaction
  • Strong leadership and coaching skills, with ability to develop and motivate a high-performing team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to engage with customers and colleagues
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing business priorities
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience using financial metrics to track sales progress and drive profitable sales and margins
  • Ability to network and engage with the community to drive business growth and customer loyalty
