PRIMARY OBJECTIVE:
To oversee the Hannaford To Go Team and support the Assistant Store Manager in ensuring department operations align with financial and sales objectives. Foster strong relationships with associates and customers while promoting a positive culture that supports the Hannaford Strategy.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage the operations of the Hannaford To Go Department, adhering to established standards in the absence of the Assistant Store Manager.
- Exemplify exceptional customer service and foster goodwill by modeling high standards in service and sales.
- Ensure department conditions regarding appearance, safety, sanitation, and food safety are upheld to the highest standards.
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure all annual certifications are current.
- Utilize company resources such as financial reports, scheduling tools, productivity metrics, ordering systems, and business information systems.
- Assist in creating effective work schedules that balance customer service needs with associates' personal requirements.
- Exercise sound judgment in delegating tasks and following up to ensure efficient department performance.
- Provide immediate coaching and feedback, supporting the performance management process.
- Assist in training and developing associates to fulfill departmental needs.
- Maintain clear communication within the department and with store management.
- Adhere to all company policies, established practices, and legal regulations.
- Perform additional duties and projects as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Prior retail customer service experience is advantageous.
- Ability to lead and guide others effectively.
- Understanding of store operations is preferred.
- Strong communication, customer service, and sales skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational abilities.
- Willingness to learn various tasks and technical job requirements.
- Strong problem-solving capabilities.
- Must meet minimum age requirements.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Frequent to continuous repetitive motions, including grasping and reaching while standing for the majority of the shift.
- Ability to lift products weighing up to 15 pounds continuously, 25 pounds frequently, and 45 pounds occasionally.
- Push or pull up to 75 pounds on occasion.
- Handle various substances related to cleaning materials, packaging, and food products.
- Visual acuity to check identification, invoices, and other documents.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions as necessary.
Salary: $31.60 per hour
