Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Nurse II to join our Critical Care Ground Transports team at UNC Health. As a member of our team, you will provide exceptional patient care and transportation services to critically ill patients in the North Carolina region.

Responsibilities
  • Provide competent clinical nursing care to patients with complex medical conditions, utilizing the nursing process and evidence-based practices.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans, ensuring seamless transitions and continuity of care.
  • Utilize advanced life support skills, including ACLS, BLS, and PALS, to provide high-quality patient care in emergency and critical care situations.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices, new technologies, and emerging trends in critical care transport.
  • Contribute to a culture of safety, quality, and excellence, promoting a positive and supportive work environment for patients, families, and colleagues.
Requirements
  • Graduation from a school of professional nursing.
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Trauma certification (ITLS, TNCC, or PHTLS).
  • Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience, with a preference for experience in an ED or ICU in an academic or tertiary care center.
