**Job Overview**

This role is part of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology's (MIT) Open Space Programming team, responsible for managing and coordinating the MIT Welcome Center's desk staffing with MIT Admissions.

The successful candidate will provide backup coverage as needed, supervise the Visitor Experience and Operations Coordinator, ensure a warm and welcoming visitor experience, and maintain excellent working order of the space.

Key responsibilities include managing event bookings, coordinating with colleagues and collaborators to ensure events run smoothly and safely, following MIT guidelines and policies. The ideal candidate will be onsite, day-of-event lead, lead emergency preparedness for the team, and ensure the AV system is in good working order.

Salary Range: $72,000 - $96,000 per annum.

* Full-time position with a 40-hour workweek, Tuesday to Saturday schedule (12-8pm)* Flexible schedule with later evenings required, especially during the fall and spring seasons* One day of remote work possible, contingent on event schedules* Opportunities for professional growth and development within a dynamic organization
