Maintenance Coordinator Job Description

Mauser Packaging Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for providing day-to-day support to our site Maintenance Manager, working with maintenance department personnel, and managing inventory for the store room.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide day-to-day support to site Maintenance Manager
  • Work with maintenance department personnel and provide assistance in getting necessary tools, items, etc.
  • Manage the inventory for the store room, set up new parts for the store room, and work on minimizing downtime due to no spare parts
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with vendors, customers, and internal departments
  • Ability to run reports in SAP
  • Update and maintain information in various programs to include Excel, Word, Office, etc.
  • Respond to requests for information from internal departments as needed
  • Ensure that all maintenance storage areas are organized and clean
  • Responsible for researching, sourcing, ordering, and purchasing parts online and in person as needed for maintenance work
  • Pick up parts/supplies for Maintenance department
  • Pick up and/or deliver parts to local machine shops, parts supply stores, etc
  • Conducts periodic physical inventory to assure proper availability of required stock; replenishes keepstock as shipments arrive
  • Maintain system for managing inventory parts, organized and efficient inventory areas, and accurate inventory counts
  • Identify, record, and manage obsolete inventory parts
  • Following guidelines create new inventory part numbers for new parts
  • Data entry for maintenance inventory reports
  • Check all packing slips for incoming goods for accuracy against actual items received; note discrepancies, supply documentation to purchasing coordinator for processing
  • Organize, track, and complete purchase orders through completion with account payable
Requirements:
  • HS Diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in an office/plant environment
  • Must have strong oral and verbal communication skills. Possess exceptional interpersonal communication skills
  • Knowledge and experience with SAP or ERP is a plus
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Good troubleshooting skills
  • Basic mathematical skills used to add, subtract, multiply, divide, and use decimals and fractions
  • Ability to perform work in a mature and professional manner, demonstrate personal responsibility, and perform all assigned duties
  • Ability to work independently on assigned tasks, as well as to accept direction on given assignments
  • Working knowledge of MS office and exceptional computer skills
  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • Must be able to sit for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to lift up to 40lbs
