Role Summary:
The Logistics and Transportation Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of residents to medical appointments, scheduled outings, and special events. This position also encompasses the responsibility for maintaining the cleanliness of vehicles, upholding safety records, and coordinating necessary vehicle maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Safely transport residents and perform community errands as required, ensuring all residents are returned safely to the facility.
  • Adhere to all driving regulations, including speed limits and traffic signals.
  • Follow established safety protocols set by Parc Communities.
  • Assist residents in entering and exiting vehicles.
  • Maintain current vehicle inspection tags, licenses, and insurance documentation.
  • Ensure the vehicle's cleanliness through regular interior and exterior cleaning.
  • Respond promptly to accidents and emergencies.
  • Report mechanical issues and assist in coordinating necessary vehicle maintenance.
  • Support activities and outings as requested.
  • Assist with the setup and cleanup for special events.
  • Communicate any safety concerns regarding residents to the Wellness & Engagement Director.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Wellness & Engagement Director or General Manager.

Qualifications:
  • Valid state driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Experience driving passenger buses preferred.
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience or training.
  • Strong appreciation for older adults and the ability to build relationships.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Team-oriented mindset with a collaborative work style.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
  • Professional demeanor when interacting with residents, families, and colleagues.

Work Environment:
Working hours will be established with the Wellness & Engagement Director, with potential weekend duties. The role involves both indoor and outdoor work, with exposure to various weather conditions. The position requires maintaining a positive and professional image at all times while ensuring safety in interactions with equipment and vehicles.
