Job Summary

Family Service League Inc. is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Counselor to join our team at the Family Recovery Center in Riverhead. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide individual and group therapy to children, families, and adults affected by substance abuse and addiction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality counseling services to clients, including intake assessments, individual and group therapy sessions, and case management.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans that address the unique needs of each client.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and community agencies to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client progress and treatment plans.
  • Participate in regular team meetings and training sessions to stay up-to-date on best practices and industry developments.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as social work, psychology, or counseling.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working with substance use disorders, preferably in a clinical or counseling setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
  • Proficiency in electronic health records and Microsoft Office.
  • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
