Job Title: Counselor

Family Service League Inc. is seeking a qualified Counselor to join our team at the Family Recovery Center in Riverhead. As a Counselor, you will provide individual and group therapy to children, families, and adults impacted by substance abuse and co-occurring disorders.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality counseling services to clients, including intake assessments, individual and group therapy sessions, and case management.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans that address the unique needs of each client.
  • Collaborate with other professionals, including social workers, therapists, and medical professionals, to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client progress and treatment plans.
  • Participate in regular team meetings and training sessions to stay up-to-date on best practices and industry developments.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in counseling, social work, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working with substance abuse and co-occurring disorders.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Proficient in electronic health records and Microsoft Office.
