Job Title: Counselor

Family Service League is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Counselor to join our team at the Family Recovery Center in Riverhead. As a Counselor, you will play a vital role in providing individual and group therapy to children, families, and adults impacted by substance abuse and mental health issues.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality counseling services to clients, including intake assessments, individual and group therapy sessions, and case management.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans that address the unique needs of each client.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and community agencies to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client progress and treatment plans.
  • Participate in regular case reviews and team meetings to ensure best practices and client outcomes.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in a related field (e.g., counseling, social work, psychology).
  • Minimum 2 years of experience working with substance abuse and mental health populations.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
  • Proficiency in Electronic Health Records (EHRs) and Microsoft Office.
  • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
