Project Controls Specialist

Spencer Ogden is a leading recruitment agency in New England, supporting clients in their search for skilled professionals to join their teams. As part of this effort, we are currently seeking a highly motivated Staff Project Controls Specialist - Scheduler to join our client's team in Newton, Massachusetts. This is a one-year W2 contract with plans to convert to direct hire.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the project controls processes with the internal project management team to execute project deliverables within budget and schedule. Key responsibilities include:
- Developing effective scheduling reports, cost reports, cash flows, and forecasts for multiple projects
- Utilizing Primavera P6 software
- Creating Work Breakdown Structure (WBS)
- Responsible for engineering, procurement, and construction planning, scheduling, logistics, and cost control
- Developing, reviewing, and analyzing pre-programmed project scheduling reports and backup documentation for accuracy
- Consulting with the project team on schedule progress
- Analyzing and evaluating schedule management involving the critical path method of scheduling techniques, estimating, project cost management, and forecasting
- Performing schedule what-if scenarios
- Performing quality checks and inspections on project controls deliverables
Requirements:
- Bachelor Degree in engineering, construction management, or related field, and 3 years of direct project controls experience. Required or
- Applicable experience may be substituted for the degree requirement
Salary Range: $85,000 - $105,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
