Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Control Clerk I to join our team at Thorlabs. As an integral part of our supply chain management, this role will contribute to the efficient receiving and monitoring of inventory to meet demand forecasts and corporate financial objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Familiarity with bar coding and scanning systems is essential for this position, as you will be responsible for operating a bar code scanning apparatus and understanding basic inventory counting procedures.
  • You will also need to have a basic knowledge of production work orders and related inventory documents, as well as understand customer needs and expectations.
  • This role requires strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with individuals at all levels of the company, including those from different departments.

Requirements:

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent is required, as well as minimal prior manufacturing experience with specialized background experience in inventory control.
  • Strong attention to detail and multitasking abilities are necessary for success in this role.
  • Bonus: Basic computer knowledge and skills, familiarity with Axapta (or other ERP system), and RFSmart system are desired.

Estimated Salary Range: $45,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on experience.
