Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Building Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Marriott International Inc. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our buildings and providing exceptional service to our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to and resolve guest repair requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning and lubricating equipment, and identifying and addressing potential issues.
  • Conduct visual inspections of tools, equipment, and machinery to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Communicate effectively with guests, colleagues, and management to resolve issues and provide updates on maintenance activities.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including inventory management and requisitioning of parts and supplies.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to stay up-to-date on the latest maintenance techniques and technologies.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Some experience in general maintenance, surface preparation, and painting preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and move around the building.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in hotel engineering or maintenance.
  • Basic computer skills, including inputting air handler schedules and making temperature changes.
