Senior Gyn/Onc Clinic Registered Nurse Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Senior Gyn/Onc Clinic Registered Nurse to join our team at US Oncology, Inc. in Houston, Texas.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will provide high-quality patient care, collaborating with our interdisciplinary team to ensure seamless coordination of treatment plans. With a strong focus on oncology, this role requires a minimum of 5 years of nursing experience, preferably in an oncology setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess patients' health status, providing thorough interviews and medical history reviews.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans, ensuring continuity of care.
  • Facilitate clinical operations, including scheduling consultations, pre-testing, diagnostic tests, referrals, and future appointments.
  • Triage patient phone calls, documenting relevant information in patient charts.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate services related to patient care.

Requirements:

  • Graduate from an accredited program for professional nursing education.
  • Minimum 5 years of nursing RN experience, preferably in oncology.
  • RN state license and current registration with the State Board of Nursing in practicing state.
  • Current CPR certification required.

Working Conditions:

This position is based in Houston, Texas, and requires occasional exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, medical preparations, and other conditions common to an oncology/hematology clinic environment.

Physical Requirements:

The successful candidate will require full range of body motion, including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination. Standing and walking for extensive periods are also necessary.

Estimated Salary Range:

$80,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on experience.
