Job Overview

Oncology Consultants is seeking an experienced LVN to join our team as a Telephone Triage Nurse in Houston, Texas.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong knowledge of oncology nursing practices, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

About the Role

This position involves providing high-quality patient care through telephone triage, assessing patient symptoms, and determining the urgency of medical attention required. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Conducting thorough assessments of patient symptoms and medical history
  • Determining the level of medical attention required and directing patients to the appropriate care setting
  • Providing education and support to patients and their families on cancer treatment options and self-care strategies

In addition to these responsibilities, the Telephone Triage Nurse will also be expected to maintain accurate records, communicate effectively with healthcare providers, and participate in ongoing professional development to stay up-to-date on the latest oncology nursing practices.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:

  • A current, active LVN license in Texas
  • Experience working in oncology nursing or a related field

We offer a competitive salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, vision, and dental coverage, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
