Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Oncology Patient Intake Coordinator to join our team at Oncology Consultants in Houston, TX.

This is a full-time position with an estimated salary range of $40,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, organizing, and coordinating the delivery of patient demographic information, as well as verifying patient details and completing intake forms. They will also assist with front desk duties when needed and work independently to prioritize tasks and resolve problems.

This role requires strong communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to work efficiently in a high-volume office environment.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent and at least 2 years of experience in an employee supervisory position and medical office procedures. Bilingual Spanish language skills are a plus.

Key Responsibilities
  • Schedule new patient appointments
  • Receive phone calls and new walk-in patients
  • Complete New Patient Intake form accurately
  • Enter demographic details into two systems (NextGen/ARIA) accurately
  • Obtain all records for the upcoming appointment and prepare chart for visit
  • Act as back-up to Front desk for lunch coverage
