Job Overview

Oncology Consultants, a premier adult medical oncology & hematology practice in Houston, TX, is seeking a skilled and dedicated Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) or Physician's Assistant (PA) to provide high-quality inpatient care across multiple hospitals in the Houston area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, including history-taking and physical examinations, to inform individualized care plans.
  • Formulate and implement treatment plans based on patient needs and clinical guidelines, working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests and imaging studies, administer medications and provide treatments as prescribed, and monitor patient progress.
  • Educate patients and families on health management, disease prevention, and treatment options, promoting informed decision-making and empowerment.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Masters degree in Nursing (for ACNP) or relevant PA program, with successful completion of an approved Acute Care nurse practitioner program.
  • Certification as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP-BC) or Physician Assistant (PA-C), with valid Texas state licensure to practice as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
  • Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in acute care or hospital settings, with strong clinical assessment skills, ability to work independently, and excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
