Amplify Instructional Coach, Literacy

Amplify is seeking an experienced Instructional Coach, Literacy to join our Professional Development team as a fixed-term employee for Los Angeles Unified School District. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of the science of reading pedagogy and a proven track record of coaching teachers and leaders to improve literacy instruction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide onsite coaching and training support to teachers and leaders in the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) who are implementing Amplify's Core Knowledge Language Arts (CKLA) program.
  • Collaborate with regional and school leadership to determine the coaching approach and strategy for different times of the year.
  • Deliver model lessons and co-teach alongside classroom teachers to strengthen the implementation of Amplify's literacy suite.
  • Facilitate professional development sessions for leaders and teachers, including PLCs and office hour consultations.
  • Support teachers in analyzing student work and formative assessment data to inform instructional decision-making.
Requirements:
  • 3+ years of experience teaching foundational skills with Science of Reading aligned, high-quality instructional materials.
  • 7+ years of K-5 classroom literacy teaching experience, leading to demonstrable results for students.
  • Experience leading sustained coaching engagements and professional development for educators in K-5.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to adapt to different learning environments.
  • Proven efficacy in time management while managing multiple engagements and competing priorities.

Amplify offers a competitive salary range of $95,000-$105,000, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, 401(k) plan, and paid time off.
