About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced AI Engineering Program Manager to join our team at Apple. As a key member of our AIML team, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of AI technology and ensuring its safe and responsible deployment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement policies, standards, and processes that align with Apple's values and ensure the ethical and safe deployment of machine learning models.
  • Program Management: Coordinate and drive early engagements on product architecture, feature definition, and program execution, including collaborating with all partner organizations relevant for a project.
  • Communication: Provide clear, timely, and objective communication, including regular program status updates and critical issues as needed to executive team.
  • Problem Solving: Proactively identify issues and solutions, and marshal resources vital to attack and resolve.
Requirements
  • 8+ years of experience in project or program management shipping products driven by machine-learned systems to worldwide users.
  • Excellent project management skills, including project structuring and managing multiple work streams interdependently.
  • Detailed understanding of testing, build, and release processes for sophisticated software.
  • Demonstrated skill of negotiating and distilling complex technical requirements from multiple partners into a coherent long-term platform roadmap.
  • Demonstrated data-driven decision-making skills, including experience leading metrics-driven projects or programs.
Preferred Qualifications
  • BS, MS, or PHD in computer science or engineering or other technical area, or experience in related field.
