We are looking for a Software Engineering Program Manager with expertise in Computer Vision (CV), Machine Learning (ML), and Algorithms to join our Video Computer Vision team, responsible for developing cutting-edge technologies such as Vision Pro and FaceID algorithms. The ideal candidate will be adept at navigating complex technical challenges and leading a dedicated engineering team through various stages of product development. We seek a Software Engineering Program Manager with a solid foundation in algorithms and a robust software engineering background. The ideal candidate has experience throughout the entire product lifecycle and possesses diverse expertise. A proven track record of delivering complex new technologies and building algorithms is essential. The successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment.

Your role will involve guiding teams through the software development process from conception to delivery, collaborating with multiple teams, and driving the definition, scheduling, execution, and communication of new features.

Key Responsibilities:
In this position, you will spearhead large-scale, cross-functional initiatives to develop technologies for Apple, working with cutting-edge advancements in Computer Vision, Machine Learning, and Generative AI.

You will:

  • Create development timelines and identify critical paths.
  • Ensure effective inter-team coordination and communication.
  • Translate complex technical topics into actionable insights for executive management.
  • Consistently communicate overall program status.

Minimum Qualifications:
Experience leading intricate, cross-functional software projects.

Engineering experience in areas such as:

  • Computer Science
  • Software Development
  • Machine Learning
  • Systems Engineering
  • Embedded Software
  • Hardware Development
  • Computer Vision

A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in technical program management overseeing consumer-facing software initiatives.

Strong consideration will be given to candidates with backgrounds in computer vision, relevant software engineering, product development, and data science.

Prior experience with hardware processes and embedded software systems is advantageous.

Comprehensive understanding of software development methodologies.

Ability to delve into technical specifics related to Machine Learning, Computer Vision, and other algorithms.

Demonstrated adaptability to rapid changes and ability to maintain composure amidst uncertainty.

Exceptional communication, presentation, organizational, and leadership capabilities.

Proven ability to influence, lead, and mitigate risks.

Self-driven and proactive with demonstrated creative and analytical thinking skills.

Compensation & Benefits:
At Apple, base salary is just one component of our comprehensive compensation package, determined within a specified range.

The base salary range for this position is between $165,500 and $293,800, contingent upon your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Apple employees have the opportunity to become shareholders through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.

Employees are also eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards and can purchase Apple stock at a discount through the Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
