As a Deputy Project Lead, you'll work with our CDAO Project team to shape the MITRE work program and customer strategy. Your expertise in AI, data, and analytics will help us deliver impactful solutions to our government sponsors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute customer work shaping and engagement plans aligned with the overall portfolio strategy.
  • Gain a thorough understanding of the customer's mission, environment, and critical challenges and align MITRE tasks and capabilities to address these challenges.
  • Work with the project's task leaders to explain their connection to strategic priorities, approve work plans, resolve issues, connect and coordinate related efforts, and avoid duplicative work.
  • Ensure proper resource allocation for plan execution (e.g., level of effort, dollars, and technical staff).
  • Justify NSEC ceiling allocations and advocate for impactful MITRE work with Sponsor and MITRE leadership.

Requirements:

  • Typically, 8 years of related experience with a bachelor's degree in computer science, systems, or computer engineering, or related field; or 6 years and a master's degree; or a PhD with 3 years' experience; or equivalent combination of related education and work experience.
  • Experience working with, or knowledge of DoD systems and organizations.
  • Demonstrated technical experience delivering impactful AI, data, analytics, and/or autonomy solutions for government sponsors.
  • Proven ability to execute customer work shaping and engagement plans aligned with the organizational goals. Ability to build and sustain trusted relationship with the customer and key stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A master's degree or PhD in computer science, computer engineering, systems, or artificial intelligence, or related field as well as 10+ years of relevant experience.
  • Strong background in AI/ML, autonomy, data engineering, and/or analytics.
  • Experience with AI Assurance, T&E of AI, and Strategic Road mapping for the DoD.
