Position Overview:

The Emerging Risk Group is on the lookout for talented individuals to fill the role of Emerging Risk Consultant. This position is primarily based in New York or Chicago, with options for remote work available.

The Emerging Risks Group focuses on integrating risk management with strategic planning for clients by utilizing predictive analytics to assess risks within their value chains. The team comprises four specialized areas: Cybersecurity, Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) and Climate, Geopolitical Risk, and Operational Resilience. Our professionals act as trusted advisors, assisting clients in making informed, data-driven decisions to manage risks effectively, thereby enhancing growth and enterprise value through expert industry knowledge, robust analytical skills, and a practical approach to resolving complex business and risk issues.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify potential risks to growth and value creation strategies, encompassing both insurable and non-insurable losses.
  • Assess suitable business and operational models to align with strategic visions and mitigate risks in the operating environment.
  • Address both operational and strategic risks affecting clients' business models.
  • Optimize the return on investment for risk capital.
  • Exhibit strong interpersonal and influencing capabilities.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree with a proven record of academic excellence.
  • 4+ years of relevant consulting experience or a background in research or business analysis.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical abilities.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Attributes:
  • Undergraduate degree in economics, engineering, finance, or accounting, or an advanced business degree (e.g., MBA) from a top-tier institution.
  • Experience in applying analytical methods for project analysis and recommendations.
  • Ability to develop operating models using Excel, Python, or R.

The base salary range for this role is competitive and will be determined based on experience, skills, training, location, and other relevant factors. Performance-based incentives may also be available.
