Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Reporting (including the development of reporting frameworks, assistance with restatements, and traditional filings such as 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K)
  • Operational Accounting (focused on continuous enhancement and optimization of finance and accounting functions)
  • Implementation of both new and existing accounting regulations
  • Effectively communicate with clients to present project insights, updates, and recommendations
  • Collaborate with CrossCountry and client team members on business challenges and potential solutions
  • Manage project administration (e.g., project initiation and planning, budgeting, account oversight, billing)
  • Guide team members through mentorship, providing ongoing feedback and conducting annual performance evaluations, while assisting project teams in resolving complex issues
Required Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in areas such as financial reporting, operational accounting, new accounting policy implementation, and complex transactions
  • Thorough understanding of accounting standards (U.S. GAAP and/or IFRS)
  • Knowledge of transaction-based accounting and reporting requirements, including IPOs (S-1), mergers & acquisitions, carve-outs, etc.
  • Prior experience in professional services (public accounting, advisory firm, or management consulting)
  • Strong operational and technical accounting expertise, including experience in researching intricate technical accounting matters
  • Professionalism and discretion in interactions with executives and clients
  • Experience in mentoring and developing team members
Educational Background:
  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
  • CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or CA certification is preferred
  • Experience supporting transactions related to mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, spin-offs, carve-outs, or IPOs is preferred but not mandatory
  • Willingness to travel domestically up to 20% - 30% (travel varies based on client needs)
  • Availability to be present on client site or in the office 3 days a week, with 2 days a week remote (hybrid office environment)
