Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage Financial Reporting processes, including the design of reporting systems, assistance with restatements, and preparation of traditional filings such as 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K.
  • Enhance Operational Accounting by focusing on continuous improvement and optimization of finance and accounting functions.
  • Implement new and existing accounting standards effectively.
  • Engage with clients to communicate project insights, updates, and strategic recommendations.
  • Collaborate with CrossCountry and client teams to address business challenges and explore potential solutions.
  • Oversee project management tasks, including project setup, planning, budgeting, account management, and billing.
  • Guide and mentor team members through coaching, providing regular feedback, conducting performance reviews, and assisting project teams in resolving complex issues.
Required Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in areas such as financial reporting, operational accounting, implementation of new accounting policies, and handling complex transactions.
  • Thorough understanding of accounting standards (U.S. GAAP and/or IFRS).
  • Familiarity with transaction-based accounting and reporting requirements, including IPOs (S-1), mergers & acquisitions, and carve-outs.
  • Previous experience in professional services, including public accounting, advisory firms, or management consulting.
  • Strong operational and technical accounting expertise, including the ability to research intricate technical accounting issues.
  • Professional demeanor and discretion in interactions with executives and clients.
  • Experience in mentoring and developing junior team members.
Educational Background:
  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or CA certification is preferred.
  • Experience in supporting transactions related to mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, spin-offs, carve-outs, or IPOs is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Willingness to travel domestically up to 20% - 30%, depending on client needs.
  • Flexibility to work on-site or in the office three days a week, with two days remote (hybrid work environment).
