Carolina Legal Associates is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical and Pharmacy Records Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for requesting medical records and following up on requests to ensure timely delivery to our legal team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Request medical records and follow up on requests to ensure timely delivery
  • Order records and enter information with a high level of accuracy
  • Enter records and other documents in our case management system
  • Maintain and update our case management evidence database
  • Follow up with clients regarding medical providers
  • Review and summarize medical information to relay to our paralegals or attorneys as necessary
  • Complete claim forms and HIPAA forms as needed

Requirements:

  • One to four years of progressive work experience in a law firm or comparable field preferred
  • High school diploma required; institutional degree in a related field preferred
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and/or medical field experience a plus
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to follow up without direction
  • Attention to detail and self-motivation
  • Ability to grasp concepts, perform internet research, and overall competence in navigating programs
  • Must be deadline-driven, highly organized, and exude a positive professional demeanor with a variety of people
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Word, Outlook, and Excel
