Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Laboratory Technician to join our team at Cardinal Health. As a Laboratory Technician, you will be responsible for manufacturing radioactive isotopes, conducting quality control testing, and working in a controlled environment to support patient treatment.

Responsibilities
  • Manufacture radioactive isotopes, including synthesis setup and hot cell manipulations
  • Conduct quality control testing of each batch using various equipment, including gas chromatograph, dose calibrator, and multi-channel analyzer
  • Work in an ISO 7 cleanroom to make product vials and customer vials for use in drug production
  • Perform environmental and personnel monitoring in ISO 5, ISO 7, and ISO 8 environments
  • Coordinate daily production run schedule based on customer and pharmacy needs
  • Demonstrate strong documentation practices, oral communication, and writing skills
  • Manage SAP Inventory, including receiving materials, inspecting materials, and maintaining proper cycle counts
  • Perform daily radiation safety tasks and general lab cleaning
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent, with education in sciences (chemistry, biology, etc.) preferred
  • 0-1 years of experience, with lab experience highly preferred
  • Ability to work overnight shift and be flexible with scheduling
  • Effective written and verbal English communication skills
  • Able to repeatedly follow detailed processing instructions
  • Ability to manage several tasks at once and exercise sound judgment and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds as needed
  • Ability to see fine particulate and differentiate colors in liquid solutions
  • Ability to hear, write, and speak clearly in a manufacturing setting
