Job Summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled Certified Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) to join our Flow Cytometry team. As a valued member of our team, you will play a critical role in managing laboratory tests and procedures, ensuring quality control, and adhering to protocols.

Responsibilities
  • Perform a wide range of routine and designated laboratory tests, exercising professional judgment in determining the acceptability of results.
  • Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot complex instruments, ensuring accurate and reliable results.
  • Manage laboratory records and computer files, maintaining accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Participate in quality management initiatives, ensuring compliance with UTSW and Clinical Laboratory Services Quality Programs.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless laboratory operations, providing support and guidance as needed.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in medical technology from an AMA-approved school.
  • MLT certification (ASCP or equivalent).
  • No experience necessary, although previous experience in a particular lab area is a plus.
