UT Southwestern Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled Certified Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) to join our Flow Cytometry team. As a valued member of our team, you will play a critical role in managing laboratory tests and procedures, ensuring quality control, and adhering to protocols.
Responsibilities- Perform a wide range of routine and designated laboratory tests, exercising professional judgment in determining the acceptability of results.
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot complex instruments, ensuring accurate and reliable results.
- Manage laboratory records and computer files, maintaining accurate and up-to-date information.
- Participate in quality management initiatives, ensuring compliance with UTSW and Clinical Laboratory Services Quality Programs.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless laboratory operations, providing support and guidance as needed.
- Associate's degree in medical technology from an AMA-approved school.
- MLT certification (ASCP or equivalent).
- No experience necessary, although previous experience in a particular lab area is a plus.
