UT Southwestern Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) to join our Flow Cytometry team. About the Role

This position is responsible for performing a wide range of laboratory tests, including waived and moderate complexity testing. You will exercise professional judgment in determining the acceptability of results prior to release to patient records and seek guidance from supervisory staff as needed.


Key responsibilities include:


  • Performing routine QC and QA tasks according to established protocol
  • Operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting complex instruments
  • Maintaining laboratory records and computer files
  • Ensuring review of all daily, weekly, and monthly records and data

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must possess:


  • An associate's degree in medical technology from an AMA-approved school
  • MLT certification (ASCP or equivalent)
  • No experience necessary, although previous experience in a particular lab area is a plus
